DESIGN & BUILD

A step by step process, from concept to completion.

STEP 1: INQUIRY & EVALUATION

Your new Adventure begins with an initial conversation exploring your ideas, vision, wishes and general information. This will help us to determine how Tree-Mendous can best help to make your dream a reality.

If you feel after the first session that we are a good fit for you, we will schedule a second phone call and move forward to arrange a site visit. To make this call as efficient as possible, we will ask that you to send documentation including site plans, photos, topographical data, soil reports, etc. for our review prior to the call. 

STEP 2: SITE VISIT

During your site visit, we get to know you, your organization/facility, and the location for your attraction.  We will discuss the project budget, goals and options for build phases (if sensible).  We will assess and evaluate the chosen area together to ensure that the location is suitable for the intended attraction.  In addition, we will gather measurements of the area and selected trees (if applicable) to help inform our design. 

STEP 3: DESIGN

Our design team will provide a detailed proposal, preliminary layout and ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) for your custom new attraction. If you agree to the proposed concept, we will submit a standard Build Contract to be executed.

For larger scaled and/or uniquely complex projects, a Design/Build Contract will be submitted to be executed in phases. Our team will create a concept design, comprehensive drawings and a breakdown of pricing for the project. We will conduct research of local zoning and permitting regulations to ensure that the attraction will be constructed in compliance with local codes.  Once the concept design is finalized and agreed upon, we generate detailed specifications and engineered plans, assist with permits and finalize logistics for the project to move on to the build phase.

STEP 4: PREFABRICATION

As your project progresses from design to construction, things start coming to life at our Prefabrication Shop in Canaan, NY. We utilize the highest quality materials and time-tested techniques to ensure the safety, longevity and sustainability of our structures. Our shop crew excel at their craft and exceed expectations, carefully and meticulously prefabricating elements and components of the project to prepare for shipment to your site. This vital step allows us to lessen our on-site installation timeframes significantly.

STEP 5: INSTALLATION

Once on site, our build crew will provide the expertise, supplies and equipment to complete the construction and installation of the project. Our team takes pride in leading a safe, efficient, and seamless construction experience. Our builders are true Aerial Carpenters with years of collective experience in this trade, who share a passion for building exciting, challenging, and unique attractions. Upon completion of the build, a member of our team will perform a thorough inspection of the attraction and provide a staff training to help prepare you for opening.
